Gallery Window

The painting mimics the visual language of the Wilding Cran Gallery exterior, including the metallic window frames and reflective views of the built environment. Rather than striving to produce a convincing illusion, it encourages reflection on the perceptual process of looking at buildings and glass and thus light and space; the rapidly transforming neighborhood surrounding the gallery; and the distracted impressions of the urban landscape one forms from moving car windows.
